Newt Gingrich Very Disappointed in Jeff Sessions
Issued: February 11, 2018
Newt calls for Jeff Sessions to take action on Obama administration's corruption.
In an interview Newt Gingrich gave to Maria Bartiromo on Fox News today, Newt expressed his disappointment in his long time friend Jeff Sessions for his inaction.
Newt, like many people all over the world, can't understand how Jeff Sessions has let the Justice Department become this passive organization of inaction when it comes to anything related to the Obama administration.
It's almost like we don't have an Attorney General at all at this point. The acting Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is in part complicit in the previous administration's corruption so of course he isn't going to investigate himself.
There are only two possibilities to explain what is going on here. Either:
- Jeff Sessions knows something we don't about what the current Special Counsel or the Inspector General is investigating. OR...
- Jeff Sessions has completely ignored his responsibility to be the Chief Law Officer of the United States and should resign.
I'd like to think Jeff Sessions has everything under control but when even Newt Gingrich is questioning his inaction it is a call for concern. It may be time for AG Sessions to hold a press conference and give an update to the American people or better yet, start arresting some people.
